TOEICパート2には様々なパターンの問題が出てきますよね。
中でも要注意なのが質問返しの問題。
これは慣れておかないと、かなり違和感を覚えると思います。

TOEICパート2に頻出する質問返しとは？
質問返しとは何でしょうか。
質問返しとは、相手が自分に投げかけた質問に対して、逆に質問を返すことです。
質問に対して質問で返すという、質問者にとっては想定外の反応ですね。
質問返しをすることで、相手の言葉や思考を深掘りし、より深い理解を得ることができます。
また、相手の考えや気持ちに寄り添い、より良いコミュニケーションを図ることもできます。
ただし、相手に不快感を与えたり、意図的に回避する意図で質問返しをすることは避けるべきです。
要するに、うっかりけんか腰にならないように気をつけたいものですね。

質問返しにメリットはあるのか？
質問返しは、ときにコミュニケーションの円滑化やアイスブレイク（和やかな雰囲気づくり）に効果的です。
直接的に回答するのではなく質問返しをすることで、相手の発言に対して深く掘り下げたり、相手に対して自分自身の考えや意見を表現することができます。
例えば「あなたの趣味は何ですか？」と聞かれて、直接的に「私の趣味は○○」と答えると、そこで会話が止まってしまうこともありますね。
質問を受けて「趣味と言われると私は普段から○○に時間を割いていますが、あなたはどんな趣味をお持ちですか？」と返答することで、自分自身の趣味について深く掘り下げたり、相手とのコミュニケーションを促進することができます。
